Japanese Just Dance 2 stars Kyary, K-Pop

Japan is getting its own localised version of Just Dance 2, and if you’re a fan of J-Pop, K-Pop, or pop music in general, this one might just climb to the top of the import list. I have three words for you: PON PON PON.

Yes, the debut single from Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is included in the upcoming Ubisoft release, and we’re anticipating some pretty unique choreography…

Of course, there’s plenty more where that came from, including the following tunes from super-popular Japanese and Korean artists:

  • INDEPENDENT WOMAN – AI
  • Lonely Tropical Fish – Wink
  • Rising Sun/Lovers Again – EXILE
  • Maru Maru Mori Mori
  • GO GO Summer Jet Coaster Love – KARA
  • PON PON PON – Kyary Pamyu Pamyu
  • Micky Mouse March Para Para Ver. – Cuite Mami
  • Suirenka – Shonan no Kaze
  • Body&SOUL – SPEED
  • Joyful – Megumi Tatsumi (Cover)
  • We can’t stop the music – DA PUMP
  • Bo Peep Bo Peep – T-ARA
  • Age ♂ Age ♂ Every ☆ Kishi – DJ OZMA
  • I’m your man – 2PM
  • We can Fly – Happiness
  • Yeah! Meccha Holiday – Aya Matsuura
  • Ride on time – MAX
  • POP STAR – Ms.OOJA (Cover)

…of course, there’s also a huge bunch of Western tracks, representing a selection of the soundtrack of the game’s original Western release. The full tracklist has not been released, but the following tracks are confirmed:

  • Girlfriend – Avril Lavigne
  • Beautiful Liar – Countdown Mix Masters (Cover)
  • California Gurls – Katy Perry ft. Snoop Dogg
  • Tik Tok – Ke$ha
  • Mamasita – Latino Sunset
  • Party Rock Anthem – LMFAO ft. Lauren Bennett & GoonRock
  • Lollipop – MIKA
  • Promiscuous – Nelly Furtado ft. Timbaland
  • Only Girl in the world – Rihanna
  • Spectronizer – Sentai Express
  • Gonna Make You Sweet (Everybody Dance Now) – (Sweat Invaders (Cover)
  • Dynamite – Taio Cruz
  • Pump It – The Black Eyed Pears
  • Baby One More Time – The Girly Team (Cover)
  • She’s Got Me Dancing – Tommy Sparks

The Wii-exclusive Just Dance 2 was launched in North America and Europe in 2010, with Just Dance 3 following a year later, and Just Dance 4 expected in October 2012. We’re not quite sure why Just Dance 2 has taken so very long to arrive in Japan, but with a tracklist like this, it might just have been worth the wait.

(Thanks to Andriasang for the headsup!)
