As the calendar flips over into July 2012, we have an update for you all the way from July 2011, thanks to Valve. After twelve months, the Xbox 360 version of Left 4 Dead 2 will finally receive the Cold Stream DLC campaign.
Of course, it’s not just Cold Stream, it’s also Blood Harvest, Crash Course, Dead Air and Death Toll making their official way to gamers – we know it’s been a while, but that’s all of the additional maps from the original Left 4 Dead, thrown in as a bonus.
So! With a few other “surprises and details” up its collective sleeve, Valve can formally announce that Cold Stream will be arriving on July 24th, with the DLC joined by a handy update set to introduce an “often-requested feature”. Gamers on both Xbox 360 and PC will be able to access all of the game’s mutations, at all times.
That means, if you really want to, jumping straight into a game like Taannkk!, Gib Fest or the user-created Confogl is now easier than ever.
Confused? Yes, Valve really is releasing DLC for a game which came out three years ago, but it’s hoped it’ll be enough to bring the fans back. More details to come in the next few weeks, so why don’t you get to reinstalling and keep an eye out for Infected?
