Gamers around the world agree: Infinity Blade 2 is one of the better games currently available for iOS – and it’s about to get an extra boost. Developer Chair Entertainment has announced a new content update, packed with all sorts of bits and pieces (including new gameplay!). The best part? It’s due out this week!

The Vault of Tears is headed to the App Store on Thursday May 24th, and brings with it a number of updates, where the most interesting one seems to be the introduction of some new social features.
Building upon the cooperative ClashMob challenges, players can now earn extra turns and invite their friends, family, and other non-Infinity Blade players to do in-game damage with the power of liking and re-tweeting battle calls – something that hasn’t been done before.
…you read that right. Your friends, family and other online acquaintances are now able to help you out mid-game, just by hitting the thumbs-up on your Facebook post, or retweeting you via Twitter.
Does this have the potential to be abused? Sure! Does it also have the potential to be pretty awesome? Definitely!
That’s not the only new introduction to the game: You’ll get a bunch of new areas, a Treasure Map to uncover secret items, and a ‘hidden ally’. Plus! More than 50 new pieces of gear have been thrown in, just for you.
Oh, and there’s a new bunch of foes, including the Dark Fiend, Bog Giant, Acolyte and the Moss Giant headed your way.
Set your alarms, folks – this one’s a biggie. And it’s 100% free to people who own Infinity Blade 2, so you’ve got no excuse!
