Portal 2 sells more than 4 million, gets new DLC

Portal 2 is kind of a big deal, and now Valve has revealed just how big: 4 million copies sold, worldwide, in just over a year since launch.

The news coincides with the release of the game’s birthday present: The DLC Pack introducing the Perpetual Testing Initiative.

…that trailer shows absolutely nothing to do with what’s actually in store – the Perpetual Testing Initiative is a level editor for the super-popular game, which gives gamers the ability to create, share and play their own puzzling creations.

Valve declined to give a platform breakdown on the sales figures, but CEO Gabe Newell has commented that the series traditionally sells better on PC than on consoles.
