Metal Gear Solid HD Collection plots Vita release

Solid Snake is coming to your pocket in HD, confirms Konami. Specifically, the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection is headed to the PlayStation Vita in June – what did you think we were talking about?

The HD collection couples Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, both with impressively upgraded graphics compared to the original PlayStation 2 releases.

In addition to that, both titles will now include Transfarring (that’s not a typo), which will see players who enjoy the game on PlayStation 3 to also enjoy it in a more portable form. The system enables data sharing, so it’s a simple matter of saving your game on PS3 and access it on Vita for playing on-the-go.

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for the PlayStation Vita allows fans to experience the series like never before with optimised controls that take full advantage of the Vita’s unique touch-screen and rear touchpad. Using just their fingers, gamers can zoom in on captivating cut-scenes, peek around corners, interrogate enemies, cycle through weapons/items, as well as perform quick attacks with their knife.

No specific release date has been mentioned just yet, beyond the thirty-day window of “June”. The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection hit home consoles (including the Xbox 360!) in November last year, to great acclaim.
