Max Payne 3: Surprise system specs

As Max Payne 3 looms ever closer, Rockstar Games have sent over the all-important PC System Specs, giving you just a few weeks to pick up those extra bits and pieces to make sure your gaming rig can handle it.

Icing the cake are a couple of brand new screens from the game, taken directly from the PC release. Shiny!

Now, rather than going with the “Minimum” and “Recommended” option, R* has simply sent over one list with a number of options for Max Payne 3 – pick something that ticks all the boxes and you should be right, even if on the surface it might seem like a mish-mash.

There’s also a note that you should check with Rockstar Support to double-check any bits and pieces you’re unsure about – some system components including integrated and AGP graphics cards, or mobile chipsets, may be incompatible and not supported by the game’s developers.

Due out a short while after the console version, Max Payne 3 for PC will arrive on shelves on May 29th in North America, and June 1st in Europe and other parts of the world. If you’d prefer your purchase to arrive in a more digital format, the game’s also available via digital download in a number of versions, and with a selection of handy pre-order bonuses dangling like so many carrots.
