If you’re in Sydney (or can get there) and are looking for something interesting to do on the evening of May 17th, let Insert Coin(s) come to your rescue. That’s the date to keep free, as Sydney’s coolest night of games, music, live art and booze returns for another round.
Haven’t heard about Insert Coin(s)? Let us fill you in. It’s a Sydney event designed to pay tribute to old-school arcades, throwing in new games, music and art, and a sprinkling of geek culture and fashion.
For just AU$10, you’ll get your retro gaming fix (standing arcade, pinball and tabletop), plus a selection of the latest gaming titles. The retro doesn’t stop with the flippers, either: The official IC Disco 80s Dance Club will make its first appearance in May, due to popular demand. Keep it up, who knows what will show up in June!
The night will also feature custom live art created on giant canvases, a swanky 80s-style milk bar (serving tasty alcoholic milkshakes and spiders), plus a New York-style hot dog vendor in case you get hungry.
Interested? Head to the Insert Coin(s) Facebook page for more information and to RSVP. Should be a fun evening!
