Grasshopper, Kadokawa team up for Killer is Dead

Lollipop Chainsaw isn’t even on shelves yet, but developer Kadokawa Games is already promising another game is in the works, with Grasshopper Manufacture CEO Suda51 returning as collaborator.

The game – Killer is Dead – will reportedly put you in control of a condemned man. In a storyline flipped from popular culture, your task is to kill the killer who, presumably, framed you.

With gameplay described as a blend of Killer7 and No More Heroes (and a little sword action in parts), sources have already stated this is not a sequel to either of Suda’s previous cult favourites.

Rumour has it that Killer is Dead may potentially feature beautiful “Bond Girls” in the game, which may showcase the darker side of classic spy James Bond. The game is due out on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2013. More details as they appear.
