Orchestral video game music headed Down Under

Video Games Live is planning a tour to Australia in late 2012 / early 2013, according to event organiser Tommy Tallarico.

He explains that a five-stop tour had been planned for December 2011, but issues with the promoter and local orchestras saw that fail to eventuate.

We’d play every city in every country in the planet if we friggin could…

We have contacted Tallarico’s “people” to find out more information on this rescheduled tour, and will keep you posted as we find more.

Video Games Live

...coming soon?

In the meantime, if you want to get your orchestral games music fix Down Under, Video Games Unplugged will help fill that gap, with Symphony of Legends set to rock the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on Tuesday April 12th.

The event will feature Scott Kurtz and Kris Straub from Penny Arcade TV’s ‘Blaminations’ and ‘The Scott and Kris Show’, plus special guest Wil Wheaton, who requires no further introduction.

If you can’t get to that one, sit tight: The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and Nobuo Uematsu will perform Final Fantasy: Music from Distant Worlds in November.
