Following last week’s news that major changes are afoot in the world of Diablo III, the development team has just unveiled the next lot of notes for the upcoming Beta Patch 10 – and, as promised, it’s a doozy: All characters have been wiped.
Most of the changes were ones outlined in Jay Wilson’s earlier Systems Changes post. This includes scrapping Attack, Defense and Precision, and adding Dexterity, Intellect, Strength and Vitality.
The skills system is “still considered a work-in-progress” by the dev team, who assures gamers that this will not be the final iteration of the system.
Scrolls of Identification have been axed, as has the Nephalem Cube and the Cauldron of Jordan, while the Stone of Recall has been renamed as Town Portal, and lurks in your Skill bar.
There’s also some good news thrown in for Diablo fans: An assortment of bug fixes (including one which will now see monsters dying properly, instead of just standing there), and – excitingly – achievements have been re-enabled. Yay!
