New screens bring winter to Game of Thrones

Winter may be coming, but so is the new RPG adaptation of Game of Thrones, and we’ve got some brand new screenshots to show off just how it’s gonna look.

Today’s new images feature both playable characters as they head to Westeros on their quests.

Firstly, there’s Mors, the sworn brother of the Night’s Watch, who must pass through hostile lands as he travels from the Wall to King’s Landing.

…then there’s Alester, the red priest. His journey takes him from Lannister territory, Riverspring, all the way to Red Keep in the capital.

Both quests, in true Thrones fashion, will be flavoured with loyalty, honour and family, as well as revenge, violence and betrayal.

Game of Thrones takes an artistic cue from the novels by George R.R. Martin, alternating storylines chapter by chapter. Each character gets his turn in the spotlight – that is, until their paths cross and stories merge.

Due out in the second quarter of 2012, Game of Thrones is headed to PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, thanks to Focus Home Interactive and Cyanide.
