Playstation Vita shows off as it nears Japanese release date

Playstation Vita is so close to being released in Japan, it is getting exciting to see all the trailers for the upcoming platform. They all show unique things that the handheld can do when combined with their games. The rest of the world has only a couple of months extra to wait, so what can we expect to see in the release?

Well, for one, the lovable and ever-inventive Sackboy returns for his first portable adventures. Using all the functions of the Vita and everything we have come to love about the LittleBigPlanet series, this title sure will be one of the top sellers for the unit.

There is also a huge list of games coming out for release, another is Wipeout 2048. Not only does it support 8 players online in a race but it also has cross platform support to the Playstation 3. You can check out a trailer and see more about it here. Nathan Drake also makes an appearance on the Playstation Vita in the new game Uncharted: Golden Abyss. With the events set before Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, you can check a sneak peak of what it looks like ┬áin this trailer.

While I patiently wait for the release of the Playstation Vita, it is good to see a huge list of launch titles to support the platform. Here is hoping for a smooth release in Japan and beyond. It hit stores on the 17th of December this year in Japan, 22nd of February 2012 in Europe and North American and 23rd of February 2012 for Australia.
