Gamers all over the world love Limbo, as developer Playdead confirms the platformer has been played in 153 countries, in nine languages. There’s another milestone too: Limbo has officially sold more than one million copies worldwide.
As we reported in August, the company has made enough through sales of the game to buy something it always wanted: Itself. Playdead explains that the game’s success has enabled it to regain its independence, and it looks like today’s announcement has made that transition a little smoother.
“We are grateful to everyone who supported us over the past few years, and look forward to forging new partnerships that will both let us reach new heights as a studio and give our director, Arnt Jensen, room to grow creatively.”
