Today, Suda 51 is writing furiously, and listening to Sonic Youth. We’re not quite sure what exactly he’s writing – the man has so many projects on the go – but it’s possible he’s penning a few words for upcoming slasher game, Lollipop Chainsaw.
The game’s currently in development at Grasshopper Manufacture in conjunction with James Gunn, the man behind Slither and Tromeo and Juliet. And yeah, the combination’s turned out pretty much like you’d expect – here’s the Halloween trailer to prove it:
Gunn reports that Lollipop Chainsaw is coming along nicely, the script has been finished up and the majority of voice acting has been recorded (no word on who’s been in front of the microphone, though).
Working with Suda, Warner Games and Grasshopper Studios has been a great experience, and I’m grateful that something as special as LC is my first game. I can’t wait to share it with you, as well as some of the cool actors we have working on the game with me. Soon enough it shall be!
…I’m not sure what else needs to be added to this post, really. Lollipop Chainsaw is due out in 2012, for PS3 and Xbox 360.
