Scribblenauts Remix draws all over your iPad

Ignore all of the drama about which version of iOS you’re using, there’s another big download in the App Store today: Scribblenauts Remix, from 5th Cell.

This new game takes all the best bits of both Scribblenauts and Super Scribblenauts and smushes them together into a handy Apple-flavoured package. And it’s about time.

People have been clamouring for a Scribblenauts release for iOS ever since someone worked out the gameplay mechanic was perfect for Apple’s handhelds. Typing in words to create objects is easier than ever on an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch, and the graphical processing power’s none too shabby, either.

This new version has been developed specifically for iOS from 5th Cell and Warner Bros., with a little help from Iron Galaxy Studios. There are 40 levels (taken from both Scribblenauts and Super Scribblenauts), plus ten that are all-new, just for this version. Throw in Game Center support and that handy iCloud save functionality from iOS 5, and you’ll be wondering why it took them so long.

Scribblenauts Remix is a Universal app (which works both on iPad and iPhone/iPod touch) is in the App Store right now, for US$4.99. I’m now talking to myself, because you’ve already rushed off to buy it, I know. We’ll chat later.
