Want to work for Blizzard? Is BlizzCon close enough? You might not be able to get down and dirty with the games behind-the-scenes, but you’ll still be right there when all the big announcements are made…
Here’s your chance, if you are over 18, live in Southern California and are free the weekend of October 21-22. You’ll make a little pocket money, do some simple tasks and hang out with a bunch of Blizzard fans.
This is one time where finding a games-related job ad could actually result in employment for someone not already in the industry, and it fittingly popped up on the Orange County Craigslist. Most employees will be working two days, with flexible, varied shifts ranging from 4.5-7.5hrs.
We are looking to hire for the following positions:
– Customer Service: job duties may include but are not limited to; directing traffic, managing and directing lines, registering attendees and guest assistance. Candidates must possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
– Order Pullers: job duties will consist of picking customer orders by reading order forms, ensure accuracy of orders. We are looking for someone who can work in a fast paced environment with high attention to detail.
There will also be paid training on October 20th (Thursday night) to bring you up to speed with everything you’ll need to do.
So: Want in? Better be quick. Applications are by walking in to an office in Irvine, between 8am and 3pm Monday October 10-Wednesday October 12. That means you’ve really only got a few hours left to get your act together!
If you are able to make it in those hours, respond to the Craigslist poting with some personal details and they’ll send out an online application.
And, sorry, if you happen to be in the US on vacation or just travelling through, you won’t be able to do this job – it’s strictly limited to people who are legally allowed to work in the United States.
