Recently, eagle-eyed gamers spotted a flurry of domain registrations from Activision, which hinted at an upcoming 007 game. Now, that’s been confirmed, as the company draws back the curtain on GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, a very shiny new “contemporary James Bond experience”, designed for PS3 and Xbox 360.
And – as you may expect – Eurocom doesn’t even have to show much from the game to have fans in a bit of a tizzy. Here’s a teaser for you (and that is Alec Trevelyan on voice-over duties, if you were wondering).
David Oxford, Executive Vice President at Activision Publishing explains:
We are beyond ecstatic to debut GoldenEye 007: Reloaded to the millions of fans who have been clamoring for it to arrive on Sony and Microsoft home consoles. And now with full PlayStation Move functionality, 007 fans all around the world can play the game in full HD in more ways than ever before.

Rob Dyer, Senior Vice President at Sony Computer Entertainment of America is also pleased that the game will ship with a few extra goodies on the PS3.
Promising to be one of the most immersive and interactive Bond games to date, this is an outstanding opportunity for PlayStation fans to experience one of the most iconic and action-packed shooters in an all new way with PlayStation Move and the Sharp Shooter peripheral. By bringing together GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, and PlayStation Move’s Sharp Shooter, we are continuing to expand the new world of motion-based entertainment appealing for hardcore fans and only possible on PlayStation.
An all-new engine powers some pretty spiffy HD visuals and shiny realistic environments, all rendered happily at 60fps. In this new HD polish-up, you’ll also get a bunch of Mi6 Ops Missions, which are separate from the campaign, but add an extra element to the game.

Of course there’s multiplayer, and the four-player split-screen action is back, tidied up a bit as you’d expect. If that’s not enough, how about 16-player online?
Currently scheduled for “fall 2011”, and rumoured for late October, GoldenEye 007: Reloaded is in the works from Eurocom. As stealthy as Mr. Bond may be, we’re guessing he’ll make plenty of noise as the game gets closer to release. At the moment though, we’ll have to settle for that teaser, and this bunch of screenshots – which, really, isn’t settling at all.
