While we understand platform exclusivity, it can be a bit of a headache when it means that brilliant and wonderful games cannot be enjoyed by everybody. And yes, sometimes that can be a console seller – but most people aren’t likely to splash out on a new game box just to play a downloadable title, right?
Fortunately, PS3 fans no longer have to contemplate giving Microsoft their hard-earned cash, as PlayDead Studios has revealed the smash hit platformer Limbo is headed towards the PlayStation Network in the not-too-distant future.
The news was outed by the Korean Ratings Board, as discovered by [surl=http://www.gamesetwatch.com/2011/06/limbo_heads_to_the_playstation.php]GameSetWatch[/surl] – and it only says that the game is coming, but not who will be developing it. That’s not as much of a no-brainer as you might anticipate – Castle Crashers was ported by the same team when it jumped from Xbox 360 to PS3, but Braid brought in a second party to do the dirty work.
When we find out if PlayDead will be learning a new language, we’ll let you know – but in the meantime, just relax in the warm fuzzy knowledge that PlayStation gamers will get their chance to check out the creepy puzzler on their home console!
