Electronic Arts: Nine games, 90 minutes

With a 90 minute timeslot in the glorious Orpheum Theater, EA took a slightly different approach to the annual E3 media briefing. The company took to the stage and showed off nine games – including a new announcement – with some revelations that made gamers very happy.

In order of presentation, we have new information on Mass Effect 3, Need for Speed: The Run (stay tuned for our interview about that!), Star Wars: The Old Republic, the return of snowboarder SSX, the new FIFA, and the new Madden, as well as Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning from Curt Schilling.

Overstrike is a new game from Insomniac, an intriguing four-person co-op experience that’s looking really promising.

But, of course, the highlight of the morning was the one, the only, Battlefield 3.
