5 Double Halo Announcement

Microsoft hasn’t let anything stop them continuing the Halo franchise. We all thought something was coming when they made sure to keep the IP from Bungie. But during their conference they shocked all by first announcing and showing footage for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and concluded their conference with a Halo 4 teaser.

With the conference ending on Halo 4, Microsoft made a point that this was going to be the beginning of a new trilogy. The trailer ends with 2012, so it seems we will be beginning this journey next year with Microsoft’s 343 Industries and Microsoft Studios taking the reigns.

Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary was also announced and is set to have a fully remastered campaign, co-op over Xbox Live and 7 multiplayer maps. Details are slim on when or how this remake will appear, but you can grab the trailer over here.

We will bring you more news as they come to light on this massive franchise and it’s future directions.
