BlizzCon 2011: First tickets sold out in minutes

What are some ridiculously obvious and unsurprising things? The sky is blue, water is wet, and this year’s first allocation of BlizzCon tickets have been snapped up in mere moments.

The first batch of tickets for this year’s event in California went on sale on Saturday morning, Pacific Time, and words cannot really describe just how quickly they disappeared.

Good luck1

If you missed out, more will be on sale on Wednesday May 25th, at 7pm Pacific time, for US$175 a pop.

If you miss out then though, you’re pretty much out of luck – unless you’d consider attneding a pre-BlizzCon dinner, benefiting the Children’s Hospital of Orange County. Tickets for that go on sale next Saturday, May 28th, at 10am Pacific – but they will set you back US$500 each and are limited to 200 guests.

…your other option is, of course, the usual BlizzCon Virtual Ticket – a multi-channel Internet stream which also features Pay Per View capabilities via DIRECTV in the United States.
