We all know that the River of Souls event planned for MMO RIFT was pretty ambitious, and it seems that developers Trion Worlds may have bitten off slightly more than they could chew. Due to some “issues” on the game’s European servers, Trion Worlds have postponed the end of the world.
Assistant community manager James “Elrar” Nichols explains:
With the opening of the final phases of the River of Souls World Event in Europe we have identified several issues that only came to light in a live server environment.

As a result, the current world event will move into its second phase (of three) on Saturday, April 16th, rather than the originally-scheduled April 9th. While many gamers seem pleased with the delay, Trion Worlds has announced that it will be increasing the amount of currency gamers can earn through the event, and the number of rewards available for purchase.
Keep an eye out for those bonuses popping up in RIFT over the next week or so.
