Crysis 2 cracks down on cunning cheaters

The Crysis 2 team at Crytek really do take cheating very seriously. How do we know this? Because they told us, in a recent [surl=]blog post[/surl].

We do take cheating very seriously here at Crytek. We are currently taking steps to permanently remove exploits from Crysis 2 and to penalize those individuals that choose to utilize them. We thank you for your patience and want to ensure you that we will continue to work hard to keep the integrity of Crysis 2 intact and cheat-free.

The developer released a brand new patch for the game over the weekend for the PC version, which – among other things – removed auto-aim and added a new cheat detection system.

Crytek promises that this is just the start, and that there are plenty more updates, tweaks and fixes on the way for Crysis 2. This new series of patches, to be rolled out over the next few weeks, is designed to fix post-release problems, squish a few bugs and – of course – deal with nasty cheaters.
