Telltale Games are currently flavour of the month, announcing about a million new games over the weekend – but it seems that their Midas touch doesn’t extend to everything.

Scott Pilgrim creator Bryan Lee O’Malley has explained that the developer contacted him a while ago, asking if they could work on the game which turned out to be Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game. Bryan said [surl=http://twitter.com/#!/radiomaru/status/38766072299520000]no[/surl].
Telltale wanted to do Scott Pilgrim but I said no. I couldn’t see it as an adventure game. All respect to them, though
Instead, Scott, Ramona and the gang were designed into a retro, side-scrolling beat-em-up, which admittedly suited them perfectly. (Take a look at the game’s pixel art!) We can’t help but wonder what the Telltale treatment would have created, however…
And they’ve also announced The Walking Dead, Fables, Puzzle Agent 2, Hector: Badge of Carnage and the super-awesome reboot of King’s Quest. So it’s not like they won’t be busy and we won’t be spoiled for choice. But still, we wonder.
