‘Tis the season for giving, my friends – and this year, gamers have been awfully generous. Child’s Play, the gaming charity for sick kids, has officially broken the million dollar mark for donations made in 2010.
Over the weekend, the charity updated their website with the news that, following last week’s formal dinner auction, the charity had received more than $1,180,000 over the past twelve months. The dinner is what pushed them over the edge, raising more than $183,000 in a single evening!
Keep an eye out for other Child’s Play-themed events over the holiday season (including the Chicago Loot Drop and the Montreal Comedy Improv), and remember there’s still a few weeks for the charity to top last year’s total – a whopping 1.7 million dollars.
Well done, everybody!
