Ubisoft on Kinect – not so family-friendly afterall

Since the launch of Microsoft‘s Kinect earlier this month, all sorts of videos of the device have popped up online. There are the promotional ones, showing off happy families playing and laughing. There are the home-made ones, with Joe Average (hopefully with clothes on) messing around, or even experimenting with night-vision goggles.

Then there are these two from Ubisoft, which break the family-friendly mould a bit, and actually make me want a Kinect even more.

First off, a pretty typical scene surrounding a quick game of MotionSports:

…and then there’s this one, for Fighters Uncaged, featuring lad’s mag model Dominique Le Toullec and a gentleman doing the vacuuming.

…sure, they’re staged (and yeah, the selected thumbnails do kinda give the game away), but I think this is a good time to point out that if you are indulging in a bit of Kinect gameplay that involves flinging limbs around, make sure you are aware of your surroundings. And make sure they’re aware of you.
