The fourth season of Chuck is just about to kick off – and TheWB have launched a series of webisodes, to make sure you’re properly in the mood. Why does this matter? Because the webisodes centre around Jeff and Lester – and their quest for Bungie‘s upcoming release, Halo: Reach.
The first webisode of Chuck Presents – Buy Hard: The Jeff and Lester Story went live just a few hours ago on TheWB.com, and we’ve got it right here for your viewing pleasure! (If you haven’t yet seen the end of Series 3, this does contain spoilers, sorry.)
So – what do you think? Personally, I find it interesting that Jeff and Lester are so into Halo, when Chuck and Morgan have traditionally been fans of Modern Warfare. But, y’know, one Xbox game’s as good as another, right? *ducks*
It does bring a whole new meaning to “product placement”, though – which already ran rampant throughout the action-comedy series – creating an entire episode solely around an object? This time, they’re not even being subtle: “I refuse to live without the new Halo…”
They’re right though – midnight launches for Halo: Reach are being held next Monday evening, in preparation of the Tuesday September 14th worldwide release date. Possibly not at the Encino BuyMore, but you never know.
The next Buy Hard webisode goes live tomorrow, and then every week day until Monday September 13th – just in time for the launch. In the US, the next season of Chuck kicks off a week later, on September 20th. The rest of the world will just have to wait. And play Halo. Obviously.
