Just when you thought Telltale Games couldn’t get any cooler, they’ve revealed that good things really do come in threes. The first? Christopher Lloyd in Back to the Future: The Game. The second? Poker Night at the Inventory. And now, the third? The Great Adventure Game Bundle 2010.
Pick up six pretty awesome games for just US$19.95 – and 25% of the proceeds will be donated to five different charities. It’s up to you to pick which one you like best: The World Wildlife Fund, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Nyota e.V. (a children’s charity in Africa), the Electronic Frontier Foundation or the inevitable Child’s Play – or simply leave the option blank and your donation will be evenly split among the five.
So the charity bit’s pretty impressive – and the price is kinda tasty – but what games will you get? The Whispered World, Jack Keane, Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode 1, and the awesome King’s Quest Collection, which contains three of the King’s Quest titles.
To make the deal even more tempting (as if you needed it – this is US$120 worth of games for twenty bucks!), Telltale are also promising that if they sell 5,000 bundles, they’ll throw in access to their game Puzzle Agent for free, with a copy for everyone who’s picked up the bundle.
(Secretly, they’ve also set themselves another milestone, at which point they’ll start handing out copies of Sam and Max: Across Time and Space for free… but they’re not telling anyone the magic number just yet.)
No news at the moment on just how long this bundle deal will be kicking around – but I’d get onto it pretty quick smart if I were you.
