BlizzCon looms, and we’ve just received word of the fabulous World of Warcraft and StarCraft II in-game items you’ll receive if you attend – or if you pick up a Virtual Ticket to watch the happenings online or through Pay per View.
To sum the event up in one word: “Murlocalyptic” – as Level 80 Elite Tauren Chieftain once warned, “Death will rise from the tide!”, and this year, the musical prophecy may come to pass, as the whole event is even more murloc-themed than in previous years. (Want a reminder? Why not play a quick game or two of Failoc-alypse, the game developed to give BlizzCon 2009 ticket buyers something to do while waiting in the queue!)
Display your tidal pride in StarCraft II, where you’ll receive a Murloc Marine character portrait, as well as a couple of “deep-sea decals” that you can apply to your units, each one with a different design – terran, protoss or zerg.
World of Warcraft fans won’t miss out – they’ll be accompanied by Deathy, a Deathwing-costumed murloc pet, who tries very hard to “strike fear into the hearts of Azeroth’s crustacean population” (whether or not he’s successful is your call).
