NES gets its own DJ Hero

Rhythm games are a relatively modern invention, but we’ve gotten our hands on a very special, very retro version of DJ Hero – designed with aesthetics straight out of 1989. It’s been created for the NES (what else?), by the very unique Eric Ruth Games.

playerattack first discovered Eric Ruth when he created Pixel Force: Left 4 Dead, a de-make of Valve‘s zombie-huntin’ masterpiece.

Pixel Force: DJ Hero features chiptune versions of 70s and 80s classics, mashed together into a glorious retro-pixel-love-fest. And just like Pixel Force: Left 4 Dead, this will be completely playable on PC when it’s finished.

The final game’s about a month away, and Ruth assures us that “not everything in this video is final”, but it’s enough to give you a pretty good idea of what’s in store. As soon as the game hits the internets, we’ll let you know!
