StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty patched to 1.0.1

With one of the shortest changelogs in history, Blizzard have just updated StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty to version 1.0.1. The update is downloadable through the in-game patcher, and there is no standalone file at this stage.

As if that wasn’t enough, there is not one – not two – but three new videos for you to check out.

First off, the patch addresses a couple of “technical issues” and optimises a couple of things server-side – but the official patch notes are pretty slim:

Bug Fixes

Campaign saves have been optimized.
Fixed an issue with sound not playing on some 7.1 systems.

As for the new video content, the devs have been hard at work making some moving pictures for you to drool over. They’ve just launched a Campaign overview, as well as a Battle.net overview – but today we’d like to focus on one simple question. What is StarCraft II?

In case you missed it, that’s the one and only Tychus Findlay providing the narration as well – some would say it’s about time for him to step into the limelight!

Have you been playing StarCraft II this week? I’ve got my guest pass sitting on my desk, just waiting for me to grab a few spare hours – let me know your username and I’ll come find you!
