Aussie game devs are now Trickstars

Rising from the ashes of Transmission Games, a bunch of Australian developers have joined together to form Trickstar, who already claim to have a “number” of games in production.

Trickstar Games

Apparently this all happened fairly swiftly after Transmission was closed down in October 2009, with the company’s former CEO, Mike Fegan, stating via LinkedIn that he has been director of Trickstar since January this year. His colleague at Transmission, former studio head Tony Parkes, also lists that he is now studio head of the new business.

With a bunch of game veterans on-side (Transmission was around for nearly 13 years), the studio has not announced any of the games they are currently working on, but have referenced virtually every platform you care to mention: PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PSN, Xbox Live Arcade, PC, iPhone, Wii and even Mac!

Transmission Games had a fantastic pedigree, with games such as Ashes Cricket 2009 and Heroes Over Europe, so we’ve got our fingers crossed that Trickstar will be just as good!
