After a small delay, the game’s finally arrived, bringing with it 50 levels in Adventure mode, 49 varieties of flora and a whopping 26 different types of zombies. PopCap have also thrown in 13 achievements specifically designed for the iPhone/iPod Touch platform, and included a new vibration option.
There are a few things missing from the PC original – a couple of gameplay modes have been pruned, and the controls and interface have had a bit of a makeover. We also hear there’s a bit of slow-down when the levels get too hectic, but overall it’s a pretty dedicated little port that should keep gamers content. And yes, it’s as addictive as the original. Mmm.
Plants vs. Zombies will set you back a mere US$2.99 (AU$3.99 in the local store), so I really don’t know what you’re waiting for.
