Can Firemint (Flight) Control the weather?

New map, Windy

Right now, violent storms are rocking the Australian city of Melbourne, causing flash flooding, fallen trees, power outages, even forcing planes to be re-routed at the city’s airport.

…and I’m reading about local developer Firemint, who have just announced that the DSiWare version of Flight Control features a brand new map, stricken with adverse weather conditions that force you to re-route your tiny planes.

Is this nature inspiring art, or can Firemint really control the weather?

Seriously though, new map Windy is the fifth map to appear in the DSiWare version of Flight Control, with the ‘winter wonderland’ joining standard, beach, aircraft carrier and Australian outback.

The game will set you back 500 Nintendo points when it launches on February 19th – and you can get in on the fun by joining this Facebook party – where the gracious hosts are even promising special prizes for some lucky attendees!
