EVOKE: You can change the world from March 3rd

Recently, we brought you news on EVOKE, who were looking for people to help them teach collaboration, knowledge networking, creativity, resourcefulness, courage, vision, sustainability and entrepreneurship.

Today, we’re just reminding you that the game will launch March 3rd, 2010, and if you want in, you should reserve your spot at UrgentEVOKE.com.

Our goal: to empower young people all over the world, and especially in Africa, to start tackling the world’s toughest problems: poverty, hunger, sustainable energy, water security, conflict, disaster relief, health care, education, human rights.

EVOKE is free to play – and you can play it anywhere in the world. In fact, part of it’s already underway over at their blog, to give you a bit of a taste of what’s in store. If you play through and successfully complete ten game challenges in ten weeks, you’ll be awarded a Certified World Bank Institute Social Innovator – Class of 2010. Not bad, huh?

There’s also online mentorships with experienced business leaders and social innovators, plus scholarships to share your vision for the future at the EVOKE Summit to be held in Washington DC.

Developed by the World Bank Institute, the game is directed by alternate reality game master Jane McGonigal.
