No excuses: myPostcards is coming to DSi

Sticking with the local devs for a moment longer (you know they’re my favourite), Sydneysiders Nnooo have just revealed their latest project, a DSiWare title called myPostcards.

It’s actually the second title from myLifeCollected, a series of lifestyle applications for Nintendo’s handheld. This time around, you’re given the opportunity to take a photo, write a note, and then share the ‘postcard’ with friends all over the world.

Nic Watt, Creative Director at Nnooo explains:

“myPostcards allows any Nintendo DSi owner to create a neat looking postcard to record any situation or event and then share it with friends. Once they have made the postcard they can email it, print it out and post it or even upload it to Facebook.”

So – pretty simple, really. Take a new picture using your DSi camera (either one is fine), or pick your favourite from your Album. Then you can write a note (or draw something), pick from more than 50 included background themes, whack on one of the 12 stamps, and you’re done. Just like a real one!

Watt continues:

“We have worked hard to ensure that users can quickly and easily make a postcard whenever they find themselves in a situation which they simply must share with friends and family. We really like the idea of capturing a moment on camera and adding a note to share with friends. There was always something nice about getting a postcard in the mail from friends and family and we feel that with myPostcards we are providing a more modern take on this great form of communication.”

There’s even some bonuses thrown in! As you send more cards, you’ll unlock extra background themes, and – if you’ve already got some Nnooo titles in your collection, you’ll get some special themed backgrounds to thank you for your support. Awwww.
