The next PSP release in the multi-million-selling co-op action adventure series will include several of the imposing new monsters from Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii, as well as the new Switch Axe weapon class. Many iconic beasts from the series will return, including the Tigrex and the Nargacuga, plus there will be all-new monstrosities to stalk, slay, and carve.
The game will not feature underwater combat, but it will see the return of the four weapon classes dropped for Tri: Dual Swords, Bow, Hunting Horn, and Gunlance. The game will support Infrastructure mode for online co-op play, and those playing alone will have the option of taking not one but two Felyne AI buddies along for the ride.
There will not be the option of importing saves from previous Monster Hunter Freedom games.
