Konami and Hudson Soft have announced that the previously known title of Deca Sports is now titled Sports Island for non japan. Featuring ten separate... "Adidas-endorsed versions" of events for players to master, those being Beach Volley, Football, Basketball, Curling, Badminton, Archery, Snowboarding, Kart Race, Figure Skating and Moto Cross, each event has different motion controls to master for players to be the best. Anywhere between 1 and 4 players can participate in each event, and players can earn bragging rights on the in-game leader boards. Sports Island is due out on Wii in Q2 2008.
Each sport features a unique control scheme. For example, while badminton is controlled similar to Wii Sports tennis, with the remote acting as the racket, in snowboard cross the remote is pointed at the screen, with the game responding to the twisting of the controller. In other games, such as football and basketball, the Nunchuk is also utilized for player movement on the field or court.
