Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare is in line for some green-thumbed DLC, with the Garden Variety Pack heading your way as early as tomorrow. The best bit? Like a leaf on the wind, this is absolutely free!
You'll snag the new 8v8 Gnome Bomb gameplay mode, an all-new map named Chomp Town, and 24 (count 'em!) brand new ability upgrades.
Roughly translated, that's three for each class - including the All-Star Zombie's Ultra Tackle, the Chomper's Super Goop (to stop zombies in their tracks), and the Sunflower's Solar Flare Beam. Just think of the new load-out options at your fingertips!
The new Gnome Bomb mode is something a bit different, as well: Plants and Zombies are tasked with working together in their attempts to destroy the other's reinforced garden (or graveyard!).
There's also new zombies on the way, including the Map Pirate Zombie, who lurks in Sharkbite Shores and Port Scallywag, where he shields himself with a treasure map.
Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare is a third-person, class-based multiplayer shooter that couples the award-winning Frostbite 3 engine with the botanical humour of PopCap's uber-popular tower defence series.
The game is out right now for Xbox 360 and Xbox One, with a version currently in the works for Windows PC.
