Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment explains:
We’re sending players deep into uncharted territory with Warlords of Draenor. New features like the Garrison will give players a commanding role in the Warcraft saga like never before, and everyone can get in on the action right away with the included level-90 boost. There’s never been a better time to go to war for the Horde or the Alliance.
That level 90 boost Morhaime refers to will be included in both the standard and digital collector's edition of the game - and you'll be able to use it before the expansion hits, if you so desire.
Warlords of Draenor also features something that local gamers have been wanting for years. No, not local servers (just yet), but you will be able to use your own currency - Blizzard is adding AUD currency support, so the Aussies dollar can be used across all Blizzard products including World of Warcraft microtransactions.
You're still likely in for a bit of a wait: Warlords of Draenor is allegedly looking at a release date in the second half of the year - but if you pre-purchase now, at least you know you've got it, right?
I like video games and music and cups of tea and noodles and beagles and colour-cycling LEDs.
