Welcome to Player Attack!
With the Tomb Raider Definitive Edition now available for PS4 and Xbox One, we don't need any more reason to pay attention to Lara Croft - but Dark Horse has given us a good one anyway. Today we have a fresh look at the brand new Tomb Raider comic series, set to hit shelves in February.
The series is written by Gail Simone, the comic superstar currently writing for Wonder Woman and best known for her work on Birds of Prey, Batgirl and Deadpool.
Last August, Simone let the cat out of the bag by accidentally revealing a Tomb Raider sequel was in the works.
In continuity, it will be Tomb Raider canon, and lead DIRECTLY into the sequel. This is what got me excited - we get to be part of Lara Croft history.
Now, nearly six months later, we still haven't heard much about the sequel to Tomb Raider, but the comic book is nearly within reach. If you're not already interested, these unlettered preview pages from Nicolas Daniel Selma should whet your appetite.
I like video games and music and cups of tea and noodles and beagles and colour-cycling LEDs.
