Game updates are interesting things. Typically they contain bug fixes, feature tweaks and not much else, but in update 2.1 for StarCraft II, Blizzard has made an exception. The publisher's given you the complete soundtrack to the original StarCraft and Brood War, so you can get a nostalgia fix while thrashing some zerg.
Players around the world have been constructing additional Pylons to the music of StarCraft and StarCraft: Brood War for over fifteen years now, and we’ve heard your feedback that the soundtracks from these titles would make great additions to StarCraft II. If you’ve ever found yourself wishing you could rock out to “Terran Two” while crushing your opponents on the StarCraft II ladder, you may be pleased to know that you’ll soon be able to do just that. We’ve re-mastered the classic StarCraft and Brood War soundtracks and will be making them available for play in StarCraft II with the release of Patch 2.1.
To ensure maximum listening pleasure, navigate to the Sound tab in the Options menu, select "Soundtrack" and pick which ones you'd like to hear. When the patch rolls out, you'll have the option of playing only music from the older games, only music from the new release, or shuffling them together at random.
I like video games and music and cups of tea and noodles and beagles and colour-cycling LEDs.
