Welcome to Player Attack!
We can now share with you just how gorgeous Warlords of Draenor actually is. This is the fifth expansion set for World of Warcraft, and it's taking gamers to the world of Draenor, to fight with - or against - some of Warcraft's greatest legends.
You're also going back in time, to a pivotal moment in history when the Dark Gates were opened. Come face to face with some of the most impressive combat Blizzard has put in the game to date. We're warned that folks like Grommash Hellscream, Blackhand and Ner'zhul are lurking around the savage jungles and battle-scarred plains of Draenor.
Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard explains:
Warlords of Draenor gives players a chance to take a commanding role in one of the Warcraft series’ most crucial conflicts. This expansion also includes features that make it easy for anyone to jump right into the action, whether they’ve played WoW at some point in the past or are just setting foot in Azeroth for the first time.
This time around, there's a trick to it. You'll be able to instantly boost one of your characters - even a freshly created one - all the way up to Level 90, so you'll be able to jump right into the thick of it with your friends. Of course, there is a new level cap - Draenor will now cap out at Level 100.
Also revamped: Character models and animations. Orcs, humans, and "several other longtime residents of Azeroth" are in line for a makeover, as well as a fully revamped player character model.
The plan, while looking to the past, is to move into the future - but we don't know quite how far, yet: Blizzard has released no date information yet.
I like video games and music and cups of tea and noodles and beagles and colour-cycling LEDs.
