Colin Farrell reportedly in talks for Warcraft film

More news from the film adaptation of Warcraft, as we hear two actors are strongly rumoured to take starring roles. Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol actress Paula Patton is allegedly negotiating for a role, while Legendary Pictures has reportedly offered another spot to Total Recall lead, Colin Farrell.

Of course, neither are confirmed - according to sources close to Deadline, Farrell is "50/50" on taking the role, while director Duncan Jones continues to test other actors for the major roles.

At this stage, we don't know anything about what these "major roles" will be, or how they'll fit into the mythology and lore laid down by Blizzard, but we do know that the film is currently scheduled to enter production in January 2014.

Rumours currently suggest that "time travel and alien worlds" will play a part in the fantasy flick, one of the largest in development at Legendary Pictures. The film was supposed to be a Warner Bros production, but following Legendary's jump to Universal Pictures, is expected to follow suit.
