It was a big night for Nintendo - off the back of its brand new 2DS handheld, the company also revealed big plans for a major price drop on the struggling Wii U console. That is: A major price drop for the Wii U in certain territories - and Australia isn't one of them.
While North America will enjoy a $50 drop in price for the console, Australians and New Zealanders are still stuck with the same price we've had for a while now - even in the face of two new console launches before the end of the year.
...while the new decorated console and limited edition game (which comes with a Ganondorf statue!) will have to be import-only, we're not ruling out a price drop for the Wii U before the end of the year. It would be silly of Nintendo to not capitalise on the Christmas present rush, but it's curious it's not jumping on that bandwagon a little earlier.
I like video games and music and cups of tea and noodles and beagles and colour-cycling LEDs.
