The hits keep coming for Saints Row IV in Australia, with news now coming to light that the controversial shooter will be arriving Down Under "slightly later" than planned. While the rest of the world is taking over the Free World this week, Aussies have to wait until September 12th for PC and Xbox 360, and September 19th if they want it on PS3.
Robert Kingston, Director at local distributor All Interactive Entertainment explains:
Australian fans of Saints Row IV will obviously be disappointed with this delay. We have used every means at our disposal to minimise the delay, but unfortunately it just was not possible to keep the same street date as the rest of the world.
...there is a bright side, though: All Australian gamers who pre-order Saints Row IV will be given a free DLC code for the Presidential Pack. If you've ever wanted to dress up as an American president, now's your chance - the limited edition Presidential Pack contains masks and outfits to make up a very convincing disguise.
(There is a slight catch: You'll have to place your pre-order in a local Australian store and then pick up the game within 48 hours of the revised launch date.)
This is, of course, for the Australian edition of Saints Row IV, which has been ever-so-slightly changed from the original game to ensure compliance with the new Games Classification Guidelines. It's become a point of contention for international fans.
I like video games, fishing, Depeche Mode, long walks on the beach, writing discussion papers and cups of tea. Not necessarily in that order.
