Video Games Live: Huge online concert July 20

Just in case you can't get to San Diego Comic-Con this weekend but really really want to hear some great gaming music, you're in luck. Video Games Live will be streaming its multimedia concert live from the show, giving you more than two hours of music from and inspired by your favourite games.

(If you can get to SDCC, you're also in luck - the concert's free, held at the San Diego Civic Center.)

Online, the action kicks off on July 20th at 6pm PDT (What's that in my timezone?), and features music from Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Dota 2, Diablo III and the Monkey Island series, plus many, many more.

...and just in case a twenty-song setlist isn't enough for you, the online broadcast will also feature a two-hour pre-show, featuring interviews with many of the musicians involved in the show.

Marty O'Donnell is among the talented folks set to take the staage on Saturday night, Bungie's Audio Director no stranger to the Video Games Live experience.

At Bungie we are all storytellers. We’ve composed Music of the Spheres to enable the listener to experience a part of Destiny’s story as a purely musical journey. For that reason we are releasing this suite as a prequel to the game itself. Video Games Live’s global vision is appealing, and their charter matches the emotional connection through music we’ve always tried to achieve from Halo to Destiny.

The night promises to be a real treat, with world premieres of music, gameplay and cinematic footage - and you can watch it all here live on Player Attack on Saturday July 20th at 6pm (What's that in my timezone?), thanks to the team at Twitch.
