Sony to close MAG, SOCOM 4 servers

If you're among the gamers still settling in with friends for a bit of MAG, SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs or SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation, enjoy it while it lasts. Publisher Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that servers for all three games will be taken offline in early 2014, ending their multiplayer opportunities.

The statement came via Twitter, which advised that online multiplayer services for each of the three games will be ended on January 28th, 2014.

It's a particularly sad day for fans of Zipper Interactive - 2010's MAG and the 2011 SOCOM 4 were among the last games released by the studio, which closed its doors in 2012.
