Want to know what's on Player Attack this week? Well, here you go - a quick look at what you can expect from the next episode of Australia's newest video games TV series!
This week's episode starts off a little bit dark and brooding, as Ben Mattes from Warner Bros. Montreal tells us all about Batman: Arkham Origins. We start with the story - set five years before Arkham Asylum - spend a moment on characters, and discuss what it's like picking up one of this generation's great gaming series.
Batman: Arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline occurring several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Taking place before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous villains and assassins, the game showcases a young, raw, unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight. As the story unfolds, witness identities being formed and key relationships being forged.
Then, for something completely different, it's off to the Disney Mobile studios in Glendale, California, to take a look at Mickey Mouse's latest outings - both in a brand new mobile game and also with an impressive new animated short. We caught up with Senior Vice President and General Manager of Disney Mobile (and friend of Player Attack!) Bart Decrem, who filled us in on the details.
Where's My Mickey? introduces a whole new world of life-like physics-based gameplay with stimulating weather mechanics and humorous animations. Immerse yourself in the ultimate mobile gaming experience as you watch funny episodes while solving challenging puzzles! Tap, swipe, and swirl to help Mickey collect water and complete each story. Every drop counts!
All that, plus the latest in gaming news and fun giveaways!
I like video games and music and cups of tea and noodles and beagles and colour-cycling LEDs.
