Sony really does not want you to forget about The Last of Us, which risks being swept under all the E3 hype when it hits shelves on June 14th. That's why this new video is so important - not only does it remind you of how great the game's shaping up to be, but it also gives us a solid look at multiplayer, something that's been kept pretty quiet until now.
Taking cues from a handful of other titles out there (Left 4 Dead immediately springs to mind), The Last of Us looks like a surprisingly strategic affair. Your teammates will be outlined for you even when they are behind obstacles, you will be able to craft weapons on the fly, and the action looks rather heavy with a mix of serious unarmed melee and bladed weapons. And, thoughtfully, your teammates will heal you. Hooray!
We've been hearing ridiculously good things about the single-player side of The Last of Us, so it's reassuring to hear that multiplayer's getting some lovin' as well.
I like video games and music and cups of tea and noodles and beagles and colour-cycling LEDs.
